  1. CandleImageToday, I wish Grandpa a happy new season of growth and development in his Heavenly endeavors. I hope that he and Grandma both had a happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas, and now I wish them a happy New Year. I truly miss spending summer vacation and Christmas time at their house, all because I enjoyed the social interactions and eating the delicious homemade meals and deserts prepared by them. I also deeply miss hearing all his interesting stories about his lifetime achievements on the battlefield and in his days of being a middle school math professor. Grandpa’s biggest inspiration to me is how he always maintained a very elegant and heartwarming smile that cheered up everybody in every social situation, a positive attitude, and a deep love for serving others in God’s name. As a result, I feel inspired to always have a lasting passion for helping others especially in my full-time cleaning job at Wyoming Medical Center. In my current job, I always display his same humility by filling in the needs of customers first, and by maintaining a positive attitude to cheer up the patients just like he did to me in my early childhood. His positivity is a great reminder for me to continue pursuing my life goals with optimism and encourage other people to practice hospitality in their own lives. I miss him so much beyond imagination. I also hope that he and Grandma keep on embracing many hobbies and occupations that bring them endless joy. Happy Heavenly New Year, Grandpa!

  2. CandleImage7/14/2025 Today would be Grandpa’s 97th birthday. Ever since the day of his entry into Paradise, I have cherished so many happy memories of all our visits at his house. I always loved being greeted at the door by his amazing smile that never failed to brighten every room, plus his constantly jovial and caring demeanor. He always did a fantastic job making all of us feel welcomed and optimistic as we relaxed during social gatherings. I also loved all of the stories he shared with us about his exciting lifetime adventures and accomplishments. He and Grandma both made many scrumptious homemade Italian meals and desserts. I will always miss those days of joy we experienced during all gatherings with him and Grandma. Today, I’m so proud of Grandpa’s terrific lifetime accomplishments like being an educator and serving in the Korean War. I’m also proud of him for inspiring me to always maintain his very same optimism, faithfulness, and passion for hospitality. He was a wonderful Grandpa and I love him so very much. Happy Heavenly Birthday, Grandpa!

  3. We always loved family gatherings at Uncle Nick and Aunt Wilma’s. They were so good to us, and we will cherish those memories. Our prayers to Wilma and family during this difficult time. We will miss him. Love Kathleen ( Shroyer) Marshall and Bob Marshall

  4. He was a real cool teacher. If you forgot your lunch money, he usually reached inside his wallet to help you out. He would, however; send a note home to your parents. Overall, he was a great teacher…
