Every staff member involved with cremation at Montgomery and Steward Funeral Directors is recertified every two years. Our high standards require that two individuals will review all cremation paperwork prior to cremation. This is to ensure authorizations have been received and have been properly documented. Once all documentation is verified, both staff members must sign the cremation order, prior to the cremation.
We record the name of your loved one, the date and time of the cremation, identification number, crematory operator’s name, as well as additional information regarding the cremation. Our crematory log is dated and the start time is noted and initialed by our cremation technician before and after the cremation.
The crematory documents, personal identification band and stainless steel identification disc are placed on the outside of the cremation chamber during the cremation process.
