To the family of Nita,
I remember fondly how she took a 17 year old under her wing in the Pueblo Symphony Chorale in 1978 and was THE BEST chaparone a kid could have through Austria and West Germany with Gerhardt. Her musical talent will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her warm smile and kind words went a long way to make me feel special any time we met up. I will miss her very, very much.
With all my love,

To the family of Nita: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of loss. Nita was
a beloved member of our sorority and many of us were in chapters with her in past years. She was a kind and gracious woman and we will remember her fondly. Members of Delta Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
Our condolences to your family. I meet Nita and George back in the late 60’s. My brother, sister and I were their paper carriers for 10 or 12 years. My wife, Terry and I truly believe she has gone home to a better place. My father, Vernon, passed 9 years ago this month. He and my mother, Kate were also neighborhood friends. My wifes father, Lyle DeRungs, and George went out for coffee a lot. Nita worked with his wife Shirley at the old Columbia Savings. From the DeRungs, and Engler family to your family … our thoughts are with you.
My sincere sympathy on the loss of Nita. We met at church in Wichita, Ks. She then became our neighbor. I worked with Nita on many projects in those years. We always found a way to learn, love, care and hope. When my daughter wanted to learn to fly, Nita and George guided her first steps. They also introduced her to my son-in-law. Nita gave everything 100% and I am blessed to have known her and her family.
Peace be with all of you.

To Nita’s Family,
Remembering your dear one from the Columbia Savings days when we first got acquainted. Over the years even though we didn’t see each other often Nita always gave me a big smile and a hug. I’m so sorry for your loss and will treasure all my fond memories of her.
Warmly,
Helen Murley
I have fond memories of Nita and her family as we met at church and then they became neighbors. I was a young girl when we met. Nita and George introduced me to my husband and we will celebrate 49 years of marriage in August 2010.
Our families were so close and Uncle George started my flying lessons when I was 16.
Our love and prayers to everyone.
Nita was a wonderful woman.
