Eulice Antoinette (Kroschel) Kogovsek passed away peacefully early Christmas morning 2025. She was born October 12, 1943 in Del Norte, Colorado. Eulice grew up in Colorado’s San Luis Valley and graduated from Del Norte High School and, then, attended Park’s School of Business in Denver, Colorado. Eulice then went to Adams State University on a music scholarship where she met her future husband Ray Kogovsek whom she married in 1964. She moved to Pueblo with Ray where they raised their two daughters.
When her daughters were old enough, she went back to school earning her B.A. degree in Mass Communications from CSU-Pueblo. Eulice then worked as a marketing director in the healthcare industry and also produced the game show Matchwits for the local PBS station at CSU-Pueblo. Wanting to serve others, Eulice earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from UCCS and operated her own psychotherapy practice. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she also worked for Pueblo’s Sangre de Cristo Hospice. There she positively impacted so many, as she assisted individuals and their families with their end of life journey.
During all this time from 1967-1984, Eulice worked the campaigns with Ray. She was an integral contributor to the successful campaigns and an active political partner in serving the constituents of the districts.
Eulice and Kathy Wise found each other and their commitment ceremony was in 2002. They shared a life where they enjoyed adventure and travel. They later moved to Windsor, Colorado, spending time both there and at their home in Surprise, Arizona.
She loved her family and friends and was always there to provide any assistance needed. A person was never a stranger, as Eulice went out of her way to make each person feel welcome and special. She respected each person and their individuality, and understood each individual had talents and value. Eulice enjoyed entertaining family and friends, the old time politics, the outdoors and travel.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa Marie Kogovsek, ToniRae Andres (Curtis), grandson Reece Raymond Andres and many family members and dear friends.
Eulice was predeceased by her son Raymond Peter Kogovsek, Jr., parents Ruthven August Kroschel and Geraldine Suzanne (Hoffman) Kroschel, her former husband Raymond Peter Kogovsek, partner Kathryn Rae Wise, and sons-in-law Gregory J. Plutt and Robert J. Geiger, Jr.

I’ve always loved you dear cousin. You made me feel special and welcome and as if I truly mattered. I really don’t know who I’d be if I hadn’t had you, so I thank God for you and your beautiful family. Rest in peace Eulice!
I was sorry to hear of Eulice passing. We will all miss her. I recall all the arguments she and I would have went we last met at our class reunion. I take comfort that she is no longer suffering.
Goodbye my friend.
My most sincere condolences to the family. When we first moved to Belmont our parents quickly became friends and then we became friends. Which I cherish all my memories from then. Your mom was a beautiful soul. My dad had fond memories of both your parents for many years. Sending prayers to you all.
Eulice was an angel sent by Sangre de Cristo Hospice when my father was dying in 2000. She was the kindness and most compassionate person I have ever known. There are no words to express what her kindness meant to my father. He had been a widow for 12 years, and he had a crush on Eulice. He was hardly able to walk during the last few months, but he always made sure he walked Eulice to the door after their visits. I don’t have the words to express my gratitude to Eulice.
So Sorr to hear of your passing. We had some good times at Del Norte High School.
An amazing women.
May you rest in peace Eulice. 🕊
Eulice was one of my best friends in high school, and that friendship has lasted throughout our lives. She was one of the most caring, compassionate, and loving persons I know. I valued her friendship deeply and will miss her. Condolences to her daughters, Toni Ray and Lisa, who are amazing ladies, just like their mother!!!
I am heartbroken at the loss of my friend. Eulice had a special kindness and compassion for others that was truly rare. I will miss seeing her walk the dogs along the grass toward my patio where we would sit and talk solving the world’s problems and laughing at ourselves.i hope we can take our dogs for a walk together someday. Godspeed, my friend.
Years ago, I heard so many stories about the Kogovsek family as my father was a good friend to Ray. He often spent time at Ray’s home and spoke so highly of Eulice. He also knew the two girls, Toni and Lisa. I was so sorry to hear of Eulice’s death and send my deepest sympathies to the girl’s and their families.
I met Eulice in the late nineties, and she quickly became a very special friend to me. We shared so many meaningful adventures together, especially our trips to Peru, Ireland, and Scotland—memories that still make me smile. Eulice had a wonderful sense of humor and a truly kind, caring heart. I feel so grateful to have had her in my life. She will always be remembered and deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences to Toni and Lisa, and to their families.
Eulice shared her love of nature and adventure with me over the years. Together, we climbed Mount Baldy, hiked along mountain river streams, camped out in the mountains when it was way too cold, horseback rides, walking along the Nature Center’s trail and babysitting her friend’s many Greyhound dogs during a flood, to name a few memories.
She shared time with my nieces, Lisa and Toni Rae who are still a very important part of my life. Finally, she shared her end of life journey with amazing grace and dignity.
I will forever be grateful for having her in my life.
Eulice was a force of nature. She would not knock down walls. Rather she would have the wall bend to her will. Eulice was a loving and lovely person that always had a kind word for whoever she encountered. My heart goes out to her family. What a great loss. ☮
Before Hospice I met Eulice at political events. My father in law was friends with Ray Kogovsek and I would go with my husband to the events. Rip sweet Eulice. It was my pleasure knowing you. 💕
