William Thomas Leonard, 92, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Bill was born in Pueblo on March 2, 1931, where he lived until the family moved to Washington state. After graduating from high school, he entered the Marine Corp. where he served in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He then returned to Pueblo and started a printing business. He continued operating the printing company after starting work for the Colorado State Division of Employment where he worked until he retired in 1986. He married the love of his life, Barbara Chatham, in June 1956 and enjoyed 67 wonderful years together. Bill was an avid photographer, an exceptional gardener, a model train enthusiast, and a huge fan of old movies. He was a wonderful husband and the best dad ever.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Leonard; daughters, Melanie Parks (Floyd) and Elizabeth Leonard-Leitch (David); grandchildren, William, Harrison, Molly, and Emery; and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held Wednesday, March 13th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Pueblo Country Club where we’ll toast to the memories. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
