William R. “Bil” Heath, 87, entered eternal life on January 27, 2024. He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on February 9, 1936, as the youngest of three children to Earl and Laura Heath. Bil was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty May (known as Boo); and brother, Jim. Bil leaves behind many family and friends. Bil was a proud “cradle Presbyterian,” diehard Centennial Bulldog, and 32-degree Mason.
Bil served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1955 (1 year, 11 months, and 11 days). Bil went through basic training at Fort Lenard Wood and quartermaster school in Virginia. Most of his military service was as quartermaster at the White Sands Missile Range.
Bil was intrigued in the printing business at a very young age. He worked at the Pueblo Chieftain as a printer and linotype machine operator. He later became a salesman for O’Brien’s Printing and printing broker. He concluded his career as a salesman for various RV companies in Pueblo and North Platte, Nebraska. Bil enjoyed remodeling the family cabin in Beulah and racing cars. As a volunteer at the Rawlings Public Library, he enjoyed demonstrating the old printing equipment.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 2nd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Pueblo. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Pueblo. Online condolences may be offered at www.montgomerysteward.com.

Sad to see the notice. Bil was a delight to work with at the Rawlings Library. He thought me so much about the history of The Pueblo Chieftain and his skill as a linotype operator. He was a sweet man and my condolences to his lovely family.
I so enjoyed talking with Bil on Sundays at First Presbyterian when I lived in Pueblo. Old Centen grads but I was ahead of him by several years! Rest in Peace, my friend.
