Walt enjoyed devising creative ways to celebrate with his family whether it was during the holidays or traveling with them. He built Panther Creek Ranch in the mountains in Beulah, where he lived until his death. Walt loved his mountains and recently told friends and family, 'I will see you on the other side of my mountain.'

I will always love you grandpa
Our thoughts and prayers for Walt’s family during this difficult time. Walt was one of the most genuinely good men, my wife and I ever had the good fortune to know and be considered friends. What he did for Pueblo alone is more than most will ever accomplish.
Our prayers are with Walt’s family at this time. Walt was a blessing to the community of Beulah and Pueblo. We are unable to attend the service but send our sympathy.
Our deepest condolences to Walt’s family at the passing of this most unique man. We have lost a special person and a great friend. Walt touched the lives of so many people through his concern and efforts for our community, all accomplished by his dynamic personality. God bless you, Walt, and Ellen as you reunite in Heaven.
One of the nicest and most supportive friends I have ever known. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends.
