Steven Alan “Watty” Watkins

Steve “Watty” Watkins was born on May 7, 1954, in Pueblo, Colorado, and departed this life on December 25, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was predeceased by his parents, Vernon and Jerry Watkins, and his cherished daughter, Stefanie Watkins.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Vicky Watkins; his precious daughter, Tiffany (Stewart) Gold; son, Lucas Watkins; and bonus daughter, Marla (Aaron) Escobar; brother, Keith (Sharolyn) Watkins; and sister, Sherie Watkins.
Steve was a devoted and loving grandfather to Charlee Kay (Boogey) Watkins; Archie Escobar; Max Gold and Westyn Gold.
Steve is also survived by numerous, friends, coworkers, and extended family members who loved him and whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and generosity. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Vista Grande Baptist Church, 5680 Stetson Hills Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado, the church and church family that he loved.

  1. Steve was a wonderful man. He was my boss there were times where we did not get along the fact we had some good
    Conversation conversations but after that, we understood each other. He was on my side all the way after that we had lunch together had a lot of things together he will be missed.

We have many good memories of being neighbors in England, and also our times together in Colorado and Florida. We will miss him dearly and remember him fondly.

  7. Vicky, I am so sad! You and all your family have had an unimaginable couple of weeks. Watty was so kind, funny thoughtful and humble. He always spoke of his kids and grandkids with love and pride. I will miss our hunting trips and our adventures in Aspen. He and you were lucky and blessed to have spent many great years together. CandleImageSo many memories from our childhood through last month’s pheasant hunting trip, family gatherings, fishing trips, sports, Bronco tailgating/games, elk hunting, pheasant hunting, and flag football are very special to me. Our extended family has experienced too many deaths this year; and, this one hurts deeply. I share my sincere and loving condolences to Vicky, Tiff, Luke, Keith, Sherie, Marla, grandchildren, and extended family. The heavenly reunion must have been wonderful. I’ll miss you Watty! You’ll be in our hearts forever.
