Steven Jonas Borowski

Steven Borowski, 46, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Pueblo, Colorado on March 10, 2025.

Born on September 27, 1978 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Steven aspired to be a CNC machine operator and began attending Pueblo Community College where he was maintaining a 4.0 GPA, earning him recognition on the President’s List for his achievements across multiple semesters.  In addition to formal education, Steven had a love of gaining knowledge through reading and then sharing that knowledge with those willing to be taught.

Steven was an avid fan of BMX racing and had participated in racing and riding from a young age well into adulthood, when physical limitations prevented him from continuing to do so.  While racing, he earned and cherished multiple trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes.   Steven was a long time fan of the Green Bay Packers and greatly enjoyed the horror movie genre as well as the Star Trek franchise.   He also had a unique sense of humor and a way of easily making other people laugh.

Steven maintained his Christian values and beliefs throughout his life.   He was a devoted son, loving brother, caring uncle and true friend.   Although Steven never had children of his own, he adored and cared for the children of a couple he was close friends with as if they were his own.

Steven is preceded in death by his mother Deborah Anderson.   He is survived by his step-father William Anderson, brother Jonathan (Lisa) Borowski, sister Deanna Borowski, niece Quinn Maggio and friends too numerous to list.

Cremation occurred at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home.   Because Steven’s friends and family are scattered across the country, they are encouraged to celebrate Steven’s life locally, in their own way, with each other as possible, in lieu of holding a formal service in Pueblo.
