Ryan Rosser Locke, 30, passed away Dec. 17, 2018. Survived by his loving parents, Kenneth Locke and Victoria Rosser; grandmother, Ann Rosser of Virginia; siblings, Benjamin Locke of Oregon, Gina (Mike) Hermens of Oregon, Justin (Prawet Nokaew) Locke of Guam and Louis (Lisa) Mueller of Maryland; niece and nephews, Andrew Mueller, Anna Hermens and Aiden Hermens; 'special uncle,' Louis Steinwedel of Pueblo West; uncle, Steven (Barbara) Locke of Illinois; cousin, Michael (Marty) Locke; and close friend, Alex Breske. Ryan was surrounded by many friends from school and work; although their names are too numerous to mention, they are acknowledged for being an important and meaningful part of his life. Preceded in death by grandfather, James Rosser of Virginia.
Ryan was born Dec. 15, 1988, in Baltimore, Md. He graduated from CSU-Pueblo with a degree in biology. He worked for Asurion/Sprint as a technical consultant. He also previously worked for Pueblo Family Hearing Center as an office manager and an EMT at Pueblo County Jail. Ryan enjoyed participating in multiple sports and as a youth, was very involved in roller hockey traveling teams and soccer. In high school he played ice hockey, tennis and was on the swim team. As an adult, his interest in sports did not wane and he enjoyed rock climbing, bicycling and snow boarding. He also enjoyed working with computers, reading, nature, ecology and his pets. Ryan was also involved with Southern Colorado Health Care For All and activities supporting the community. From a soul dog named 'Chance' to his present dog 'Marla,' Ryan's sensitivity and compassion to all animals and people he met were evident. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. It’s been awhile now. I wonder a lot if we would of got to reconnect sooner. If you would of had someone who was willing to tell you what didn’t want to hear. But I guess everyone was having too much fun around you. I have to admit I could of really used a friend like you right now. Things would certainly be brighter, perhaps I could of been your wingman and put your good looks to use. I’m having a hard time wondering why it wasn’t me instead. I think I would of fit the role better being the tragic loss, cause I wouldn’t of pulled the crowd you did at your funeral. If anything it wouldn’t have been out of the ordinary for me to be in your shoes. I don’t really have much opportunity in my life right now anyway, not the endless sunbathed future that I think you had. There was a lot of love in that room for you Ryan. So I wanna end on that, I hope your family has found a new normal without you after all this time but the good memories of you will never fade.

Although I only met Ryan when he was a little boy, I know that he was truly blessed with very loving parents. My heart breaks for you both and all his family and friend. You are in my thoughts and prayer.

I am just heartbroken to here about Ryan. He was such a wonderful kind person. I’m so sorry for your loss.
