Roy A. Ramos, 66, passed away Nov. 3, 2021.  Dear to so many, survived by his wife, Jo Ann; brothers, Michael and Mark; sisters, Debbie and Eva; children, Jason (Stephanie), Ryan and Ariana (Timothy); grandchildren, Sonia, Juliet-Marie, Aaliyah, Donato, Vittorio, Mahealani and Vivace; and mother-in-law, Martha. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marcella. Roy was born in 1955, in Pueblo, Colo. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a worldwide EMS coordinator, educator and author as well as a local EMT-Paramedic employed at Bechtel PCAPP. Roy enjoyed dating his wife, traveling, time spent with his children and grandchildren (sometimes,) life at sea, moulage and simulations, and grilling. He enjoyed helping people and endlessly giving of himself. Roy was a member of NREMT, NHTSA, NEMSMA, NAEMT, NASEMO, ITLS, CECBEMS, CAPCE, AHA, ACS and the NRA.

    Our deepest condolences from the staff and leadership at the National Association of EMT’s and we thank Roy for his service as an instructor and a PHTLS affiliate faculty for NAEMT for many years (A decade). He was a servant leader and as the list will be long and deep of those who will comment and say what a difference he made in so many people’s lives.

    I’m so sorry to hear of Roy’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I feel sad that I hadn’t seen him in a while. Life takes us in different directions and it’s hard to keep in touch.

  6. My late husband and I met Roy on his travels to Jamestown, ND. He had one of the most loving and gracious souls I e ever met. When my husband passed away 3 years ago he sent me messages weekly to tell me things about my husband. He will be missed here on earth but will be welcomed in Heaven. I know my husband has greeted him with open arms. Blessings and prayers to the family.
