In Loving Memory

Rosemary Catherine O’Malley Berumen

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania

December 16, 1942– October 22, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Rosemary C Berumen, who left us peacefully on October 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was raised in Olyphant alongside her three brothers, Kelly (Anne), Joesph (Janel) and Peter (MaryJane) forming bonds that would last a lifetime.
After moving to Washington, D.C., she began working for the FBI in their clerical pool, where she served with dedication and pride. She also competed on the FBI’s pistol team—an early reflection of her quiet determination and unique spirit.
It was in D.C. that she dated the love of her life, Florencio. They were married in 1965 and spent the next 60 years building a beautiful life together, full of laughter, love, and unwavering devotion. Together, they raised four cherished children, each of whom she adored beyond measure.
She was, above all else, a deeply loving, faithful and kind woman—someone whose presence made a house a home, whose warmth comforted all who knew her, and whose love for her family was the guiding force of her life.
Becoming a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy. She loved her grandchildren fiercely, celebrating each of their milestones with pride, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her face lit up when they entered the room, and the bond she shared with them was extraordinary.
She is preceded in death by her parents Willard and Rosemary O’Malley, and brothers Kelly (Anne) and Peter (MaryJane). She leaves behind her devoted husband Florencio, her beloved children, Mark, Matthew, Peggy (Dustin) Wiens and Maureen (Todd) White, her treasured grandchildren (Brendan, Carter, Maura, Ashleigh, Andrew, Lucy, Allison, Caleb, Noah, Mia), her brother Joseph (Janel) and countless other family and friends whose lives she touched with her compassion and gentle spirit.
She will be remembered not only for the love she gave, but for the legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family that she leaves behind. She was deeply loved, and she will be forever missed. Viewing, 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 3, 2025, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Nov. 4, 2025, at Christ the King Church. Interment, 2 p.m. Nov. 4, 2025, at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
