Ronald L. “Snozz” Guarienti, 82, gained his wings on September 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Snozz was born to the late Albert and Mary (Bergant) Guarienti on August 1, 1943, in Trinidad, Colorado. He attended Primero High School in Weston, Colorado. During his senior year, he met the love of his life, Janet. The two were married on January 19, 1963, and went on to share nearly 59 wonderful years together before her passing.
Snozz began his electrical career in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he served his apprenticeship for the IBEW Local 611. He worked as a journeyman for two years before proudly serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he continued his work in the electrical trade and was a proud member of the IBEW Local 12 for more than 60 years. In 1984, Snozz broke away from Main Electric and co-founded Pueblo Electrics, Inc. with Don Hall and Alice Lubbers. He helped Pueblo Electrics grow into one of the premier electrical contractors in Southern Colorado. After Snozz retired, he still came to the office every day. Eventually, his “work” days were filled with word searches, talking sports, keeping tabs on the office staff and counting semi-trucks on I-25 during his hourly smoke breaks.
He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Known for his quick wit, teasing humor, and love for family, Snozz could always bring a smile to those around him.
He is survived by his children, Ron (Tammy) Guarienti, Cindy (Tony) Olguin, and Lance (Dee) Guarienti; grandchildren, Anthony (Kristen) Olguin, Kenzie (Kyle) Fantin, Brooke, Normandi, Luke, and Nicole Guarienti, and Jayce Montoya; great-grandchildren, JJ and Millie Fantin, and Jax and Macklynn Olguin; honorary grandson, Brandon Houser; sibling, Bill (Claudia) Guarienti; in-laws, Nellie Guarienti, John and Gina Raye; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet (Raye) Guarienti; parents, Albert and Mary Guarienti; in-laws, John and Elizabeth Raye; brother, Donald Guarienti; and many other cherished family members and friends.
Heartfelt thanks go out to Snozz’s caregivers over the past year for their kindness and compassion.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers and food, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
