Born in: Pueblo, Colorado
Resided in: Pueblo, Colorado

Roland “Rolly” Crowe passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorene, daughter Shannon (Pat) Larson, son Jason (Tara) Crowe, brother Norman Crowe, and his grandchildren Taner, Scarlet, Juliet, and Ella.
Born on November 21, 1943, in Pueblo, he lived a life defined by quiet strength, generosity, hard work, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.
A proud father of two, he poured his heart into raising his children with patience, humor, and selflessness. His four grandchildren were the light of his later years, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer them on, share a story, or offer a gentle word of wisdom. To them, he was not just papa but a mentor, a friend, and a constant source of encouragement.
Throughout his life, he was known for his integrity, his work ethic, and his willingness to help. If you knew him there’s a good chance he helped you fix your car in the driveway, found that part for half the price of the dealership, or came out in the cold with jumper cables or a tow strap.
Rolly was a sucker for Dorene’s cooking, hanging out with his junkyard buddies on Saturdays, a home game at the Thunderbowl, his grandchildren, a good cheeseburger, and a fast sports car – that just needed a fender, hood, and headlight assembly.
Whether offering a helping hand, sharing an overused dad joke, or simply listening, he had a gift for making people feel at ease. His presence brought comfort, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Rolly retired from Xcel Energy after over 35 years of service.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
