Robert E. “Robbie” Robinson was born August 6, 1955 in Pueblo, CO, to Robert E. (Bobby) and Edith Robinson. Where the family lived in Rye, Colorado, Robbie joined brothers, Ray and Jay, soon followed by sister, Lynda, and years later by siblings Lynette and Jeff. Robbie passed on November 27, 2024.
 Robbie was a hard worker, starting out on the family ranch with hauling hay, building fence, and working cattle. After high school, he traveled the world, serving in the US Navy, later serving in the Navy Reserves, and retired with 20 years of service. Rural life and God’s creation fed his soul, as sister Lynda would say, “…the small, seemingly unnoticed by man things.” Simple things brought him happiness.
 Preceded in death by parents and sister, Lynda, Robbie is survived by siblings, Ray (Shirley) Robinson, Jay (Cindy) Robinson, Lynette (Marty) Bates, and Jeff Robinson; son Scott Robinson and granddaughter Anya Robinson.
 Through life’s challenges, Robbie claimed and often quoted the following verse from Deuteronomy 31:6, “He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Viewing, 1 to 4  p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel in Pueblo, CO. Funeral service, 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at Rye Methodist Church in Rye, CO.  Interment, Colorado City Cemetery in Colorado City, CO.

I know as a true man of God, a very dear sweet individual whom I personally enjoyed visiting with every time I got a chance and praying with, I am definitely going to miss him.   2. I’ll always remember the good times with Robbie and his family. They were and are great friends and like many small communities were same as part of our family. Spent many hours in 4-H and other activities. Our condolences to all who loved him.

  3. CandleImageA kind person who had a love of life. Always a helper with smiles galore and love joking. Loved talking about God and His goodness, rodeo’s and especially being around cattle. We shared a friendship where-as we helped each other. Robbie was there for me through my surgeries and I tried helping him in return. God has given you freedom from pain and sickness. R.I.P. my friend. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family, a true soul is now with the Lord.

  9. CandleImageMy condolences to the family of Robert. I met Robbie through my Aunt Louella back in 2012. We talked a few times and I met him again in 2021 when my aunt moved back from Idaho and he helped her unpack, Robbie was always very nice to talk to. I am very sorry to hear he has passed and hope that his family finds comfort in the knowledge that he won’t suffer anymore from any ailments. God Bless Robbie and God Bless his surviving family.

  12. CandleImageRobert was one of the most tender hearted gentleman I’ve ever met. Such a Big Heart for people and especially for God. I’m a better person for knowing Robert. He will definitely be missed.

    • CandleImageRobbie was always a big help to me. He’d come and help me out so graciously with many things around my place and never complained. He really was a kind man. I’ll miss his warm smile and talks we had. My condolences to all the family! Gods bless you all!
