Many nights were spent watching you be in your own little world, doing your wordsearch, enjoying your puzzles or reading your Bible. The amount of Joy I would see in your face when you would say your prayer just before dinner time as you held the hands of ìyour family just made me happy. Even more so when I would come to see you in the morning and watch you get excited to walk to to your little table just knowing that you had your favorite thing waiting, a healthy Banana, just for you. I remember the smile that covered your face just knowing that it was all yours, and as soon as you finished your glass of water, you could have it ☺
I struggled with some things and at times I was really sad inside, But all that disappeared the moment I walked in and got to see you. I will forever cherish the time we had together and remember your sweet little voice when I think about our “Happy Song” (if your happy and you know it) you did so much for my heart and you didn’t even know it. I am truly going to miss you, But think of you always. You will forever be My Sweet Girl 💕
Rachel, I will always remember our friendly Bible study group with Rev. Christy Shain-Hendricks in the St James Chapel and Library at the Preschool building. You always brought us some colorful Coleus plants taken from your plant at home. They were lovely and we spread many cuttings around to all our friends. Lovely knowing you over the years, a perfect lady.
Rachel, We had a special Saturday night relationship serving at the altar. I will always cherish those times. You were undoubtedly the happiest person I’ve known. Always a smile on your face. I’ll bet God feels He has a great additional to His altar!
Rachel, long life, well lived! We still have the beautiful butterfly ornaments you gave us for Christmas one year. I remember you every year when we hang them. My condolences to your family. RIP, dear Sister.
