Ovide P. 'Pete' Hebert, 92, passed away July 9, 2011, at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Walsenburg, Colo. Survived by his daughter, Carol Krutzke and her husband, Frank 'Torry' Krutzke of Pueblo; grandchildren, Debbie Gardiner of Bayfield, Colo., Mark Krutzke and his wife, Bernadette of Denver, Colo; great-grandchildren, Daniel Krutzke, Aaron Krutzke and Luke Krutzke. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Betty Campbell. Preceded in death by his son, Jerry Hebert in 1969 and wife, Betty Hebert in 1999. Born to Ignace and Berthiele Hebert on June 8, 1919, in Abbeville, La. Pete was a WWII veteran who after retiring from the Pueblo Army Depot worked at the Colorado State Hospital for a number of years in the research department. Pete was an avid golfer and a devoted grandfather. At his request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A private burial will be held at Mountain View Cemetery. Those who desire may make memorials to the Scottish Rite Speech and Language Foundation or the Shriners Hospitals for Children through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.
