Norma 'Lorri' Johnson, 57, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017. Born to Sam and Nona Johnson on April 17, 1960, in a military base in Georgia. Being an army family, they moved often before settling down in South Carolina, where she graduated high school and college. It was also in South Carolina where she gave birth to her daughter, Maggie, and would later meet the love of her life, Alfredo Insignares. Lorri was an incredible cook whose dishes were loved almost as much as she loved making them. She was an avid film buff, extensive reader and enjoyed traveling the country with her family. Lorri will be missed at the Pueblo County Health Department where she worked for two years. Preceded in death by her father, Sam Johnson; nephew, Taylor Spencer; and sister, Susan Johnson. Survived by her husband, Alfredo Insignares; daughter, Maggie (Nick) Iken; and Alfredo's children, Fredrick and Kristina Insignares. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. The loss of her presence will be felt by many as she was beloved by everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com
