Norma J. Miller, 86, passed away on Sept. 6, 2022. Survived by daughters, Cynthia (Don) Roberson and Sandy (Chuck) Hanagan; sons, Steve (JoAnn) Miller and Dwight (Darlene) Miller; grandchildren, Mike (Amber) Roberson, Amanda Hidy, Hunter and Tyler Miller; great-grandchildren, Max Roberson and Bridgette Hidy; extended family, Ivy Hanagan (Jarid) Baker, Avery Baker, Caitlin (Kyle) Hansen, Serrie and Will Hansen. Preceded in death by parents, John and Viola Beegles; sister, Mildred Tiedeman; husband, Harrison; sons Alan and David (Guy). Norma was born Nov. 15, 1935, in La Junta, Colo. Norma married Harrison on Aug. 22, 1954, and they were happily married for over 68 years. Norma spent most of her time raising their 5 children. She volunteered locally for the Pueblo Republican Party committee, and served as den leader for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed customer service and worked in retail sales. She was recognized for her sales and service as counter manager for Este Lauder while at Joslins/Dillards. Norma enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it be traveling, camping or simple family gatherings. She loved to garden and she loved watching birds. She was humorously picky when it came to her flowers, making special requests for specific varieties for Mother’s Day and other occasions. She loved her puzzles and painting the gourds she grew.
Gathering of remembrance, 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, in the Montgomery & Steward Banquet Hall followed by the inurnment at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta, Colo. Norma will be interned with husband, Harrison, as they wanted to be buried together. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.     I have fond memories of your Mom when I would come to your house in our elementary school days. I remember the day your brothers were born. I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing our parents is heartbreaking but we can hold on to the memories to comfort us.
