Nancy Grady
Nancy Grady passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the age of 74. She is survived by her sons, Cody (Jen) and Kevin Buchanan, and her four grandchildren, Alyson, Lauren, Dylan, and Julian Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Grady; her sister, Gloria Coakley; and her parents, James Griggs and Margaret McBride.
Nancy dedicated 33 years to teaching in Pueblo District 60, including 27 years as a social studies teacher at Roncalli Middle School. She took great pride in her work as an educator and had a lasting impact on generations of students, many of whom remembered her as their favorite teacher.
In retirement, Nancy remained active in her community, volunteering for several years at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, where she was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 2010. She loved spending time with friends, and had a lifelong love of dogs, caring for many beloved pets throughout the years.
Above all, Nancy will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose kindness, warmth, and wisdom touched the lives of those around her. Her family will honor her life in a private ceremony.
Nancy’s sons wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Chateau at Sharmar Village for the compassionate care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s name to the Chateau at Sharmar Village, 1201 W. Abriendo Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
Please accept my sincere condolence for the loss of Nancy. I enjoyed spending time with Nancy at the Arts Center as docents, at Starbucks indulging on Frappuccios, at pilates to keep in shape so we could give the tours at the Arts Center! Nancy was sincere, authentic and a wonderful friend who loved her family and her big beautiful dogs. I will miss her dearly and will forever remember her ability to listen, share and laugh. She was as unique and as much fun as her Fancy Nancy guest bath! May you remember her in your hearts and minds joyfully everyday. Barbara Vogel Boyd
