Nancy Ann Karsh, a gifted classical musician, devoted educator and compassionate holistic health coach, passed away on January 8, 2026. Her life was defined by artistry, service and a deep commitment to helping others thrive. She touched countless lives through her music, her teaching, and her work in wellness. She was born in Ohio in 1944.
Nancy’s lifelong love of music began early and shaped the foundation of her career. She earned her master’s degree in music and continued her studies in Sweden, focusing on flute, recorders and piano. She taught music in Denver Public Schools and performed widely as a soloist, ensemble recitalist and orchestral musician, sharing her talent generously in community recitals and local arts programs.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Karsh; her parents, George and Ann Nicoll of Green Valley, Arizona; and her brother, George Andrew “Andy” Nicoll Jr. She is survived by her brother, William Nicoll (Elaine); her nephews, Todd Nicoll and Chris Nicoll (Brenda); her great-nephew, Ryan Nicoll; and her great-nieces, Rose Nicoll and Emma Nicoll. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin Karsh (Kayla), Kip Karsh (Taunisha) and Cooper Karsh. Nancy’s great-grandchildren include Avery, Levi and Grant (children of Kip and Taunisha) and Wolfe and Calvin (children of Kevin and Kayla).
Nancy married Frank Karsh in June 1977, beginning a partnership grounded in love, shared purpose, and mutual encouragement. Frank, a World War II veteran and retired Denver advertising executive, preceded her in death in 2016. Together, they shared 39 years of marriage-a bond that remained one of the great joys and strengths of Nancy’s life. Nancy and Frank were longtime members of Beth Shalom Temple Center in Green Valley, Arizona, where they found community, faith and enduring friendships.
Nancy also served on the board of the Community Performance & Art Center (CPAC) in Green Valley, Arizona where she played a meaningful role in supporting its mission and contributed to summer programs introducing elementary students to the joy of creative expression.
In addition to her artistic accomplishments, Nancy built a distinguished career in sales and marketing of education technology with Invest Learning, a subsidiary of McGraw Hill Publishing, and later as a holistic heath coach and Wellness Advocate for doTERRA Essential Oils. She empowered others with natural wellness solutions through her warmth, empathy and ability to coach and connect with others.
In honor of her legacy, contributions may be made to the Community Performance & Art Center (CPAC) in Green Valley Arizona, or to the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation-causses that reflect her lifelong dedication to the arts and to helping others around the world.
Nancy, I didn’t know you that well but what I did know is your loving caring spirit for others and life. May you rest in eternal peace dear lady. 🙏❤️
