Michael “Mick”, “Mickey” R. Luxner, 77, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. Born in Superior, CO to Helen (Domenico) Luxner and Charles Luxner. Mick was the third of four children and is survived by his brother, Robert Luxner and many nephews and nieces.
Mick proudly served his county as a U.S. Marine in 3/3/3, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, Lima Company from 1966 – 1968 durning the Vietnam War. His platoon honored Colonel John W. Ripley and all the men who served under him known as “Ripley’s Raiders” with a monument at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. His time as a Marine remained a source of pride throughout his life.
In August 1969, Mick married Betty (Codron) Luxner in Louisville, CO. Together they shared 56 wonderful years, raising two children, he is survived by his wife, children and five grandchildren.
Mick cherished time outdoors – camping, fishing, working on his land, and cheering on his beloved CU Buffs.
