Matthew was born on December 7, 1994, at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colo. He served his country proudly as a U.S. Army paratrooper. He was a young man with an unmatched personality with humor, charisma, love, and kindness. Matthew gave the warmest hugs, the best smiles and ornery grins. He could reach across the aisle to anyone he came in contact with during his young life. Matthew was without a doubt a unique soul and a gift to all. He loved his rock aka MOM. Matthew loved the wind in his face while riding his motorcycle, music, his pups, games of chess, camping, fishing, swimming, floating the river, random road trips and most importantly taking care of others. Because of this love, he was pursuing his education in health care. Matthew’s laugh was a warm squeeze of the love within him, and he will never be forgotten. His passing has left a canyon of sorrow in us all.

  3. CandleImageMy lil big brother,
I didn’t know you long but you made a HUGE impact in my life for the better. You saved me, helped me understand, and know my worth. You always gave the best hugs and were such a great listener. When I was down you always knew what to do and say. I’ll never forget coming into work and handing you my activia drink before you could steal it lol and eventually I just learned to bring one for each of us and of course I can’t forget the candy as soon as I opened the door you greeted me with a “hey sis did you bring me my candy?” and my answer was always “of course I did”. I am going to miss you my lil big brother and all the other great memories we shared but mostly thank you for being a friend/brother that I always needed in my life. Until I see you again little brother rest easy I know you are at peace.
    Until we meet again,
    I love you little brother
    Vanessa aka Big lil sis
