Resided in:
Boone, CO
Mary Kay (McClure) Catron, 64, went to sing in the Lord's choir on Jan. 1, 2019, in Boone, Colo. She was born April 13, 1954, in Pueblo, Colo., lived in Colorado all of her life surrounded by friends and family and trusted in the Lord when she was six. She met her loving husband, Herman Catron, at a Bible study late 1976. They married Nov. 13, 1983. She helped her husband run his contracted railroad transportation company while her husband farmed. After four kids, they moved to the Avondale Family Farm. She shared her love for the Lord with children that she taught in Sunday School in all the churches she was a member of and also sang specials for all to hear. She spent her times at home studying her Bible, taking care of and playing games with the six children and husband that God had blessed her with, playing games on the computer, sewing and crocheting, gardening and canning, recycling and in the end, spoiling, rocking and singing her grandbabies to sleep. She also enjoyed going on numerous vacations with her husband and children, getting out with family and friends to go bowling and going out to eat; some of her favorite places were: China Lantern, Captain D's and Rita's. Preceded in death by her father, James McClure; sisters, Grace (David) Faix and Darlene (Karl) Hoyt; brother, John Mcclure; brothers-in-law, Bob Melon, Michael Taylor, Sonny, Alfred and Jamie Catron. She is survived by her mother, Mary McClure; loving husband, Herman Catron; children, Jason (Pam) Catron, Victoria, Paul and John Catron, Sarah (Donald) Norvell and Esther (Roy) Marsh; grandchildren, Kaden and Gunner Catron, Donald Norvell, Jr., Raelynne Catron and Julia Kay Norvell; sisters and brothers, Patricia Taylor, James (Sandy) McClure, Thomas McClure, Melody McClure, Cherie (Doug) Niccoli, Daniel McClure; sister-in-law, Jonna McClure; sister, Velvet (Robert) Serena; brother-in-law, Michael (Kathy) Catron; and countless nieces and nephews. Viewing, 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at Highlands Baptist Church, 5273 Highlands Church Rd., Boone, Colo. Interment, Highland Cemetery. We were saddened to hear about Marry Kay this week. So many childhood memories of her came to mind with all of us Abbott girls. We are all praying for God’s comfort to all of the family thru the next few days. And “what a day that will be” when we all sing in His choir together again! Love and our sympathies.

I will miss you, Mary Kay. Although I haven’t been out to Colorado for several years now, I knew you were there. Reliable as the mountains, quiet, loving, kind, caring for everyone — it was always fun to get you laughing.
Thank you for all you gave to so many.
May goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives.
We will really miss your constantly kind, compassionate and giving spirit, Mary Kay!! Our deepest condolences and prayers to the many people whose lives you’ve touched and are now, like us, in sadness at your passing – especially Herman and family, Aunt Mary, and all our McClure clan cousins.
I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers for all of you. Sending much love.
