Mary Josephine Spencer, 85, passed away April 19, 2021. Survived by daughters, Clara J. (Blanch) Hodge, Mary F. Hanna, Patricia A. Bruce (Brian Wollard, fiance), Susan I. (Alan) McNew and Nancy L. (Mike) Demmler; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas F. Spencer; daughter, Laura Jane Spencer; parents, Henry and Emily Guilfoyle; five brothers; and two sisters. Mary was born on June 15, 1935, in Sperry, Okla., raised six daughters and worked alongside her husband who was the General Manager of the Arizona-Colorado Land and Cattle Company. After leaving the ranch, she worked retail sales at Joslins/Dillards for 25 years.
Mary enjoyed cooking, canning, reading, traveling and holding and rocking babies. She also enjoyed spending time with her six daughters and their families. Mary was a parishioner at St. Pius Catholic Church in Pueblo Colo. and former member of the Colorado Cowbells associated with Colorado Cattlemen. Viewing, 4 to 6 pm, Monday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Rosary, 9:30 am followed by Mass at 10:00 am Tuesday April 27, 2021, at St. Pius Catholic Church, 3130 Morris Ave. with Father Zaldy Norba officiating. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. God’s Angelic Choir is singing a welcome hymn to your loving mother. She is resting now and grief will no longer crease her brow. Her sojourn is over here but a new life has begun. Mary Spencer has taken up residence in her heavenly quarters and her joy is boundless. All is light. We grieve with her family and we celebrate with her.

Your mother was the mother everyone would like to have.
One of the greatest things about your Mom that I’ve always admired she treated everyone like family. Its a rare quality to have and your so lucky to have such a caring soul in your life. She was an angel here on earth. I miss her.

I met Mary through her daughter Mary Hannah. She was always so sweet and helpful when I would be shopping. She was a very lovely lady and she will be greatly missed. RIP dear Mary.
