Luke Beaubien
July 6, 1978 – October 13, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Lucas “Luke” Beaubien, who left this world far too soon. Salida, Colorado was more than just the place he was born-it was his heart’s home. Most recently, he lived in Pueblo, Colorado. Always the sportsman, he loved to hunt and fish wherever and whenever he could.

Luke served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy as a signalman and rescue swimmer for four years-a time of structure, service, and pride that stayed with him. After returning home, Luke worked in construction and plumbing, trades that suited his hands-on approach to life and his ability to solve problems in practical ways, while helping those around him. He’s remembered as a mentor with patience for teaching those learning the trades.

Those who knew Luke knew a man of deep sensitivity and unmistakable wit. He could make you laugh when you needed it most and worried often about the people and dogs he loved. There was no better sound in the world than hearing Luke belly laugh while reading Calvin & Hobbes. He leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends who are better for having known him. Luke will be remembered not just for the man he was, but also for the lessons left behind, the memories carried forward, and the hope that he has finally found peace.

Luke’s life was marked by both struggle and strength. He could be funny, stubborn, loyal, and fiercely protective. His life was filled by his children: Sarah Glover and Hunter, Isabelle, and Trinity Beaubien, each carrying forward a part of him in their own ways. Luke also leaves behind his mother, Kathleen Beaubien, and his father, Daniel Beaubien, as well as his sisters and brothers-in-law: Sarah Beaubien (Kelly Richardson), Dominique Naccarato (Chris), Charissa Carvell (Tyler), and Jasmine Beaubien. He was uncle to Augi Richardson, Nieve Naccarato, and a baby Carvell soon to arrive. Luke is remembered fondly by his dear friend Jessica Guccione, who was a source of joy in his life.

A gathering to remember Luke will be held on Saturday, November 15, at the Union Depot, 132 West B Street, Pueblo, CO, from noon to 3 pm, where family and friends can come together to reflect, reconnect, and honor the truth of a short life fully lived. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
