Lois Arlene Kleiner, 82, came into this world on Dec. 30, 1936, and left this world on July 28, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin. Survived by three children, Sheri (Mike) Belmont of Huntsville, Ala., Jeff Kleiner of Pueblo and Scott (Samantha) Kleiner of Navarre, Fla.; five grandchildren, Sarah (James) Connolly, Jessica Pearson, Rachel Kleiner, Savannah Kleiner and Slade Kleiner; and great-grandson, Hudson Connolly. Graveside service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at B'Nai Jacob Cemetery, 23rd and Montezuma Rd. Reception to follow at the Montgomery & Steward Banquet Hall. Lois was born in Chicago and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois. She along with her mother Edna moved out west to Denver to be closer to her beloved brother Armand 'Mike' Coren. She had to give up a full ride scholarship to the University of Wisconsin to look after her mother, Edna. While in Denver looking after her mother, she met her husband Marvin Kleiner on a blind date. Lois and Marvin married and moved to Pueblo, so Marvin could manage his brother-in-law's clothing store Rosenblums. Edna, Lois' mother joined them in Pueblo. Lois has been a Pueblo resident ever since. She worked a secretary at the State Hospital and later went to work for Marvin at the store until she retired in 1991. Lois Kleiner was such a caring and unique human being. After talking to her for 5 minutes she would endear herself to whom ever she was talking to. And she loved to visit with everyone, she was quite loquacious. There are definite parallels between Lois and Will Rogers, because she never met anyone she didn't like, moreover the feeling was always reciprocated. She was the type of person who literally would give the shirt off her back, helping people anyway she could, always a mensch. It is more important to remember the way she lived than her passing .The world is something less without her in it. In stead of flowers please make a donation in Lois' name to either The American Cancer Society or Temple Emanuel - Pueblo 1325 N Grand Ave, Pueblo, CO 81003. Because helping others is the best way to honor her!
