Linda Kae Perkins, of Rye, Colorado, born on September 22, 1946, departed this life on November 4, 2025, at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Madelyne Thacker, her husband Jim Perkins, son-in-law Craig Winslow, and brother-in-law Dave Baker, all of Rye.
Linda dedicated over thirty years to Pueblo School District 70, serving as a secretary, teacher’s aide, and school bus driver before retiring in 2003. A devoted member of the Rye Home United Methodist Church and a member of the Faith Circle. She cherished her time spent with family and friends, always eager to help and serve her community.
Her journey on Earth was marked by love, compassion, and her unwavering faith in God and our Lord and Savior. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is survived by her children, James “Jimmy” (Brenda) Perkins of Elko, NV, Janet Winslow of Rye, CO, and Shane (Bernie) Perkins of Canon City, CO, along with her sisters, Charlotte Baker of Rye, CO, and Romona “Monie” (Allen) Lloyd of Elko, NV, and brother, Norman (Joy) Thacker of Rye, CO. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of her life will be determined and announced at a later date.

  1. CandleImageLinda was such a sweetheart. You could never enter our church without a hug and those twinkly eyes. Even in her health challenges she always wanted to know “how you were doing”. She will be missed but she is with the Lord. Prayers and hugs to her family, love Debbie and Bart
