Lee Liljegren, 78, passed away Nov. 15, 2017. Survived by her brother, Richard Heater; children, Colleen Liljegren (Frank) Padilla and Kevin Liljegren; grandchildren, Richard Liljegren, and Erin Padilla; and great-grandchildren, Rantin and Rohnan. Lee was born to Hadley and Edna Heater and raised in Wapello, Iowa. She was a graduate of Iowa State University. She worked for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment for 27 Years. After retirement, she moved to Pueblo to be closer to her family. Lee volunteered for Paws for Life and First United Methodist Church. She loved photography and painting. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Paws for Life No Kill Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 11208, Pueblo, CO 81001. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com

    So sorry, your Mom will be remembered for her love of animals and photography. I remember when she visited the family in Iowa, she brought her dogs and loved to talk about the history of Washington DC when she lived there. Said it was one of her favorite places.
