Kathryn Lee Hicks was born on June 5, 1947, in Santa Fe, NM and passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2024, in Pueblo, CO.  Preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Nina Schmitt; son, Kraig L. Cooper; siblings, Gary Schmitt, Barbara Winters; and her life-long friend, Linda Nelson.  Survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Hicks; sister, Joyce Schmitt; children, Kristy Owens (Dan Libberton), Scott Cooper (Ann Spangler), Kurt Cooper (Allison Miller), Lynnette Bowling (Richard), and Ron Hicks (Mindy);  grandchildren, Tim Owens, Anthony Owens (Zoe), Ty Owens, Haylee Simmering (Nevada), Eleanor Cooper, Hollis Cooper, Max Cooper, Coeta Cooper, Sean Bowling (Nicolette), Hunter Bowling, and Josh Hicks;  great-grandchildren, Kinslee, Cooper, Ken, Jaycee, Greyson, Evangelina, and Brenleigh.

Kathy lived for her family.  She enjoyed supporting her kids and grandchildren in all of their activities.  She loved fishing with her husband Kenny, family game night, and traveling.  She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
