Celebration of Life:

Joy C. Califano, 95, passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2025. Survived by her children, Barbara (Barry) Lemay, Loretta (Gary) Whitten, Diana (Phil) Boyce, and Cynthia (Rob) Marshall.

Preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Califano.

Joy was born on Dec. 30, 1929, in Grey, Oklahoma. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Joy enjoyed crochet, Bingo, bowling, the Denver Broncos, the Rockies, and most importantly, her family.

Funeral service, 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel. Interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens following the service.  Condolences may be made at www.MontgomerySteward.com

  4. CandleImageI just found out that my beautiful beloved neighbor Joy passed away. I’m so glad that we got to see her a little while ago. My heart and prayers go out to the family. Joy, you are back with Paul and I guess you know now that Mike is up there with you. I’m sure he was with Paul waiting to take you up to heaven. I will never forget you or the low and “Joy” you brought to all of us. From the day we moved in, you became our family. You always watched out for us. You always made us laugh!! Oh, there is so much!! I love you Joy, now go fly with the angels!! And save us a spot up there.

  6. CandleImageSo sad to see Joy has passed. Had many raucous, enlightening and Joy-ous conversations with her over the years! I know she hasn’t felt well in a long time so we can now have peace in knowing that she is at peace. 🙂 Will truly miss seeing your smiling face every time visiting my mom Joy! 🙂
