Josephine (Cozzolino) Vernon, 99, passed away Dec. 27, 2022. Survived by son in law, Sam Sharp; daughter-in-law, Sharon Vernon; grandchildren, Sam Vernon Jr., Tom Sharp, Shawn Vernon, Steve Vernon, Duane Sharp and John Sharp; great-grandchildren, Chuck, Talia, Tayden, Tia, Kenyon and Devon; great-great grandchildren, Levin and Theo. Preceded in death by her husband, Novie Vernon; son, Sam Vernon Sr.; and daughter, Shirley Sharp. Josephine was born June 1, 1923. In her fifties, she managed the Cleopatra Fitness Club for women and worked at Shirls’ Ceramics. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and hosting every occasion. Most of all spending time with her family and her faith. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Eagles Club.
