JoAnne Elizabeth Hill

JoAnne Elizabeth Hill, 79 of Pueblo, Colorado slipped quietly into eternal sleep when she answered the call of her Lord and Savior. Born September 29, 1943, to Edward Gross Bradshaw and Seretha Lawhorn Bradshaw, in Pueblo, JoAnne was the second child of six born to this union.

JoAnne was raised in Pueblo and attended Pueblo’s public schools.  She graduated from Centennial High School and attended nursing school for a while.  She met the love of her life, Euphrates Hill at a young age and married “Frate” not long after graduation, waiting for him as he did a stint in the Marines and then transferred to the army. To this union, two children were born Andrew Edward and Diann Joye.  JoAnne traveled the world with Frate and became a loving, supportive wife and superior mother. She learned many things in her travels and art was something she came to love.

JoAnne was a gifted quilter and artist with fabric, leather, and threads, she created some stunning art pieces that have become known throughout the United States.  She loved to read and learn new things, listen to gospel music, and the Lord, who was the utmost part of her life.  She enjoyed and took being a minister’s wife seriously and wanted to teach others the proper protocol and reverence of the church and the Lord. She loved going to church. JoAnne was an encourager and a caregiver. She encouraged many people in her lifetime, prompting them to do things they thought to be impossible. She was the neighborhood watch on her street and was a selfless woman of God. JoAnne loved her children and loved her family. Her family looked to her for advice and her strong ways and encouragement. JoAnne was funny always making her children and grandchildren laugh or smile over something she would say or do.

JoAnne is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Seretha Bradshaw; her loving husband Euphrates Hill; her sister, Sandra Bradshaw; and brothers, Raymond and Jerry Bradshaw.

She leaves to cherish memories and continue on with earthly life her son, Andrew Hill of Pueblo, Colorado; daughter, Diann (Rodney) Simon of Warr Acres, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Whitney Johnson of Denver, Colorado, and Nicholas (Faia) Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas; 5 great-grandchildren, Jason Davis, Andreah Johnson, Roby and Kyro Wilson and most recently Rubi Johnson; brother, Edward Bradshaw of Colorado Springs; sister, Rosetta (Ruben) Parks of Pueblo, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.

JoAnne will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but she will never be forgotten.
