Joann Rita Allen, 90 passed away Feb. 26, 2023. She is survived by son, Timothy (Michelle) Allen; daughter, Denise (Paul) Hughes; grandson’s Tyler, Todd, Tanner, Travis Allen; grand daughter, Adriana Morrow; cousins and special care givers, Maureen Morrow and Ron Guerror; special niece and nephew, Christie and Don Doyle of Michigan. Preceded in death by her husband, Buck Allen. Joann was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Pueblo, Colorado. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed volunteering and being involved with politics, and historical facts of Pueblo. She was a member of the Republican Party, Pueblo Historical Society, City of Ontario, in California, Planning Commissioner. Celebration of life at 1pm, Sun. March 5, 2023, 3453 Bergeman Rd., Pueblo, Colorado at the family home.
Joann was my favorite friend in highschool and lifelong friend. Her husband Buck Allen has best friend to my husband Jack Steien they were in the Navy on the USDixie ship. All my love I will see you again in heaven.
Sorry to hear of Joann’s passing. We worked/volunteered together at the Pueblo County Historical Society for many years. My thoughts and prayers go to her family. Buck was always fun to talk to at dinner meetings.
