Passed away on March 3, 2022, peacefully with her family at her side. She is preceded in death by her parents – Louisa (Marylou Salas) Renteria and Salvador Renteria, Her 2 beautiful daughters – Renee L Torres and Jona Michelle Sanchez, Her Grandson – Aaron R Torres. Her sisters Patricia Hererra, Marylou Appia and brother Paul Renteria.
She is survived by her Daughter Beverly A. Martino, Sons – John M (Pamela Hernandez) Torres, Salvadore Torres and Joseph L (Andrea) Torres. Her Grandchildren: Dina Martino, David (Carmen) Martino, Jonathon Torres, Carlos (Coral Martinez) Atencio, Joseph D (Nicole) Torres, Kyle A Torres, Sarah R Torres, Lauren (Cameron Price) Sanchez, Brittany Sanchez and numerous Great Grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was born in Big Springs Nebraska, also lived in Torrington Wyoming, and eventually landed permanently in Pueblo Colorado.
She married John Torres and raised 6 children while working in the restaurants they owned – Taco Hut and LaVista Hills. When she and John Divorced, she took a huge step and went to College at USC – Now CSU Pueblo. She lived in California and worked at Avila’s El Ranchito restaurant as an assistant manager. While going to college she worked on campus and was involved in political parties, campaigns, etc. She graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical Therapy and a Minor in Education. She proudly worked for many years at Parkview Hospital and retired in 2006.
In her spare time, she loved to go Down hill skiing with friends, go to classic movie film festivals in Denver and Colorado Springs, she liked the fine arts, shopping, traveling and she even bought a mini camper van to go camping in the beautiful Colorado mountains. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grand-children, and great grandchildren. She looked forward to her daily phone calls with her sisters and the occasional visits from Family and friends to her house.

from work. She was a very inspiring,caring,& loving person. She loved her family & it was like we knew you listening to her talking about you.
She will be sadly missed. We hope some of your sadness will be relieved by the good memories you had with her.
