Of all the friends I have had, Hank was one of the best!
Hank was my friend for over 65 years ! I traveled from Wichita Kansas to say goodbye to Hank ! We grew up together, we new each others families, went through grade school, junior high school and High School together. And remained friends all these years! Shared a lot of memories and great times together ! He was a kind person and cared about others ! I didn’t come to impress others, I came to show RESPECT to HANK ! !! R.I.P. I will miss you forever! LOVE YOU MY FRIEND ! GOD BLESS YOU !
Hank, was a good guy, i played old times baseball with him in 1961, he was a great ballplayer and a better human being .

Hank was a really good athlete, had a great smile, funny laugh & always so friendly to all. Him & I did a lot together throughout our lives. A funny memory is when in the summer of 1968 we went to L.A. California, took a wrong turn & ended up in WATTS, CA. at the WATTS TOWERS. We stopped & asked someone how to get back on the highway & was immediately surrounded by about 20 black men. They questioned us as to why we were in their turf & looked inside our car & was very intimidating. We told them we were from Colorado looking for work in L.A. Then they saw our Colorado license plates, they believed us & told us to stay out of their town. We were scared & sweating it. They directed us to the highway on ramp & we were gone. Later we laughed about it & continued our journey to L.A. looking to make our dreams come true. After nearly running out of money in Venice beach, we traveled to Yellowstone park & got jobs there for the summer, 1968. I love my brother Hank & will miss him forever. See you in my dreams Hank. Sonny
