Chief Warrant Officer Harvin J. Essenburg, 80, of Pueblo West, passed away April 18, 2019. Survived by son, Steven (Elizabeth) Essenburg; grandchildren, Maxwell, Kayla, Molly, Katy and Jojo; brother, Kenneth (Lois) Essenburg; sister, Carol Essenburgh; sister-in-law, Kikuyo Spafford; and long time friends, Jack and Jennie Seagle. Preceded in death parents; and wife, Mitsumi Essenburg. Harvin was born to Harvin R. and Marian (Karl) Essenburg on Dec. 17, 1938, in Holland, Mich. He retired, after serving 20 years, from the U.S. Army and worked for 25 years as an electronic engineer for PBS. Some of his favorite things to do were spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and hunting. Viewing, 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral service, 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at River of Grace Church, 84 S. Masters Dr. Interment, 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Fort Lyon National Cemetery. Please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of Harvin. I was his mail carrier for 13 years and thought the world of him. He was just a good man and I had a great deal of respect for him. May he rest in peace.
