Evelia M. 'Evelyn' Trejo, born Sept. 27, 1916, passed away Nov. 9, 2018, in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 102 years. Evelyn was preceded by her two sons, John and Raymond. She is survived by her two daughters, Marie (Pete) Maestas and Rose (Gil) Moore. Spending time with grandchildren, Rory, Diana, Gilbert Jr, Phil, Mike, Nick, Valerie, and Matthew and many great-grandchildren, brought her joy. She is forever cherished for her love, smile, strength, devotion to family, cooking/gardening, a voting advocate as an endearment to the Pueblo community, and her faith in Jesus Christ. There will be a viewing, 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Evelyn will be laid to rest 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Mountain View Cemetery, Pueblo, Colo. Very sorry to hear the news. She lived a long and beautiful life. A very strong woman an example for all of us to follow. So very glad I had the opportunity to meet and know this wonderful woman. May she rest in peace.

Praying for My Aunt Marie and Uncle Pete during this time of great Loss. Praying for comfort in the upcoming days. I loved Mrs. Trejo and every time I seen her she had a great smile on her face. What a brilliant and happy lady she was. Her memory will not be forgotten. She is dancing in heaven now. Some day I will see her again in Heaven.
