ELAINE MARY SWENSEN, age 76, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017. I know this because, like the apostle Paul, she finished the race with dignity, strength of character and integrity. She was content with little or with much and always seemed to make ends meet. Her mom and dad were frugal but fair and taught her the most important qualities for a good life. She loved people! When she was deceived or betrayed it hurt her deeply but she seemed to roll with it and not let it affect her basic character values. She put up with a wild and aggressive husband for over 58 years and brought up three of the finest boys anyone could ask for, since I worked all the time. Kevin, Severin and Eric have her qualities in their genetic make-up and I believe she will be watching over them from her lofty perch. Thank you Lord for the time that you gave me with her. SEVERIN SWENSEN. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003

Dear Severin and and sons,
We have many precious memories of Elaine and you and our time together in ministry in Pueblo. God allows us to connect in a special way with our spiritual brothers and sisters. Elaine’s life will continue to witness to so many of us as we finish our journey here and look forward to being all together one day “in the sweet by and by”.
May God bless you and keep in His wonderful peace.
Love in Christ, Tom and Carol
