Eda Michael, 79, passed away on March 10, 2024. She is survived by her husband, W.L. “Mike” Michael; sons, Matthew Michael and Christopher Michael; brother, Juri Sikkut of Chicago; and granddaughters, Sydnie and Lilly Michael of Canada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Heino and Mari Sikkut; and her brother, Vello Sikkut.

Eda was born June 28, 1944, in Estonia. She worked for several medical offices coding insurance. She also worked for Target Distribution Warehouse and was the financial secretary for Vineland Methodist Church. Eda enjoyed attending her sons’ activities, traveling to military bases where Christopher was stationed, Caribbean cruises with her sons and granddaughters, and skiing in the Colorado mountains. In October, Eda and Mike would have been married for 50 years.

Eda was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Vineland Methodist Church, 1587 36th Lane, Pueblo, CO 81006.

The family would like to thank Margaret Crabtree and all Sangre de Cristo Hospice caregivers for taking such good care of Eda in her final days.

  1. I had the pleasure of knowing Eddie, while working at the Target Distribution Center. She was such a beautiful lady ! Although, I haven’t seen her for some time, knowing that her life has been cut short saddens me beyond words. My sincere condolences to each of you. The world has lost a shining star!
