Dora Huddleston passed away on April 24, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado, at the age of 84.
Dora was born on September 5, 1941, in Pueblo, Colorado to Ken and Alice Holm. Her childhood and early teenage years were spent on a farm near Irving, Kansas. She loved farm life and treasured those years her whole life. Dora lived in Pueblo until moving to Colorado City with her family in 1982. She loved the Colorado City area and called it home for many years until moving to Pueblo West in 2015 for health reasons.
Dora is survived by her children, Daniel (Patti) Huddleston, Darlene (Dave) McDonald, Dawn Huddleston, Deborah (Mark) Rivera; her grandchildren, Christine Heasley, Shannon (Ben) Cable, Sean (Natasha) McDonald, Casey McDonald, Amanda (Mike) McCay, Alyssa (Tate) Smith, and Katelyn (Tyler) Wittrup; her great-grandchildren, McKenna and Madison Heasley, Sadie and Owen Cable, Daniel McDonald, Rory and Teagan Smith, and Kylie and Leilani McCay; her sister, Patty Russel; brothers, Ken (Bev) Holm and Dave (Queena) Holm; and many extended family members.
Dora was preceded in death by her son, Donald L. Huddleston; and her brother, William Holm.
Dora loved her Heavenly Father, Jehovah, her family, her friends, gardening and spending time in nature. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dora was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1972. She couldn’t wait for the time when this earth would be a paradise free from pain and suffering and shared this hope with everyone she could.
Dora fought the fine fight to the finish and we are confident that she has received her reward.
At Dora’s request, no services will be held. Please visit jw.org if you would like to learn more about the hope that was so precious to her.
To the family we share our condolences. We also share our faith in Jehovah as Dora did. She sure had a knack for gardening. She was always pleasant and welcoming. Serving in the ministry is so rewarding. It’s a good life! 💐🙏🏻📖💕🎶 Love from Ken and Mari Laughlin
So sorry about your loss. She’s in Jehovah’s memory now.
I always enjoyed her farming stories since I was a farmers wife also.
We are deeply saddened by your mother’s passing. Dora had away of making everyone welcome the moment we stepped into her home.
We are so grateful for the times we shared with her and you all.
Sending love and comfort to you all.
Sorry about the loss , prayers to the family . RiP
Dora and I spent many hours in the ministry together. I always appreciated her soft quiet manner and eagerness to share Bible truths to all who wanted to hear. All our Love and sympathies to the Family. Sincerely Tom and Carolyn Lacey 🥲💞
