Charles Lucian Hackworth, 79, of Pueblo, Colorado died at Joni Fair Hospice House on 4/21/2024. He was born in Casper, Wyoming in 1944 to Carl and Mabel Hackworth. Charles attended Centennial High in Pueblo before joining the National Guard then going on to receive a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Southern Colorado. From there, he spent most of his life in the insurance business before owning Hack Shack Liquor in Colorado City. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Carl (d. 1977) and Mabel Hackworth (d. 1986), and his sister Patsy (d. 2006). He is survived by his former wife Sheila and their son Lance (Billie; children: Lexie, Leasha, Britt, and Brody), former wife Darlene and their daughter Jennifer (daughter: Kylie) and his current wife, Mary and their son Caleb (Erica; children: Charlotte and Janey). Additionally, he is survived by his sister Patsy’s children, Carol and Jim DeIsle. Although Charles loved his business and the community that surrounded him, his favorite role was that as a grandparent. He treasured his time with his 7 grandchildren and loved being their Grandpa. HOBBIES – Everyone who knew Charles knew how much he loved horses. He enjoyed many years in the Equine sports.
