Chad Scott Mooring, 56, went to be with his Lord on March 1, 2026. Chad was born to John O. and Sharon A. (South) Mooring on January 19, 1970, in Pueblo, Colorado. He graduated from Pueblo County High School in 1988. Chad excelled in sports, especially wrestling and football, and later wrestled for the University of Southern Colorado. He loved watching his four boys play sports. He enjoyed riding horses, boating, and  hunting, but his real passion was his work as a firefighter and paramedic. He worked for AMR and the Pueblo Rural Fire Department for many years, fighting fires and saving lives.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Sharon Mooring; siblings, Brett (Lori) Mooring and Nicole (David) Henderson; sons, Hunter (Shaleena) Mooring, Raif Mooring, Griffin Mooring, and Beau Mooring; grandson, Colter Mooring; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends; and his beloved dog, Bella.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Mooring.

A celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Cat’s Pourhouse, 147 S. Tiffany Dr. in Pueblo West.

  7. I am so sorry for your loss I went to high school with Chad and stayed friends with him through out the years he was always such a great person I know how much he loved his boys and his family and watching his boys grow up he will be missed my prayers for all of his family
