Born November 5, 1941 in Lexington, Oklahoma, Bonnie Jean McCurry, was the third child to William and Bertha Cochran. She passed away in her home, at age 76, on September 23, 2018. Bonnie was raised and attended grade school in Oklahoma. She moved with her family to Pueblo, Colorado where she attended her final year of school at Pueblo County High. In 1963, Bonnie married Robert McCurry and worked as a bookkeeper. At the age of 39, she began college at Colorado State University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in accounting three years later. After graduating she worked as a CPA for Pester & Company for 15 years. Bonnie enjoyed reading and sewing in her spare time. After spending over 30 years in Pueblo she relocated to Bennett in 1990 where she spent the remainder of her life. She is survived by her sister Johnnie Embry, her husband Robert of 55 years, her two children, Hoss McCurry and Shannon Strandberg, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 28th. It will follow viewing at the same location on Thursday, September 27th from 3-5pm.
