Barbara Jean Lotrich

July 5, 1946 ~ December 29, 2020
Born in:
Greeley, Colorado
Resided in:
Pueblo, Colorado
Barbara Jean Lotrich, 74, left this earth on December 29, 2020, after battling Alzheimer’s as she reunites with her husband of 53+ years, Alfred, just one month after his death.
Barb was a lifelong Colorado resident growing up in the Greeley area and living and teaching Kindergarten and 2nd Grade in Fowler her entire professional career. She was a truly devoted teacher and loved kids. After retirement she was proud to be involved at Bullseye and cherished the 100’s of friends she met there over the past decade.
Barb was deeply spiritual and so loved music and piano. She was an amazing cook and had such a unique sense of humor with an unmistakable laugh that would light up a room. She was one of the biggest and most passionate fans at every Grizzly game she could get to.
Survived by her two sons, Alfie (Dusty) and Glen (Becki); one brother, Rick; and her three grandkids, who she unbelievably cherished and would do anything in the world for, Kassidy, Cauy and Dylan.
We will have a celebration of life for Al and Barb hopefully in May or June. Watch Bullseye and/or Alfie or Becki’s Facebook for details. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
The celebration of life for both Alfred and Barbara Lotrich will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Cottonwood Link Clubhouse in Fowler, Colo. Dinner and drink start at 5:30 p.m. with tribute at 7:00 p.m. Bring a smile, memory, appetite and wear something bright and bold if possible.
Although I was grown and had moved on, my mom & dad, Edgar & Irene Harris, thought the world of your family. Mom loved the time she got to spend watching you boys while you were young and your parents were working.
So sorry for your losses, especially so close together.
Barb was a wonderful person. I always loved talking with her at Bullseye and our grandson Connor loved her and always met her with a big hug. I can still hear her fantastic laugh and will never for get it! She will be missed. Rest in sweet sleep.
So sorry to loose both your parents in such a short time. My parents, Bus and Lucial Wisner, thought the world of both of them. Peace be with you and family.
Thank You

We send our condolences to the Lotrich family. We enjoyed visiting with Barbara and Al across the fence at Bus and Lucial’s home. We enjoyed visiting with them when they had the second hand store on the hi-way. We have truly lost two very kind and caring individuals.

Thank You…Much Appreciated.
Barb was a great friend. I loved her dearly. She was there for me when I lost my mother, through sicknesses and teaching ups and downs. I tried to be her cheerleader when she needed one. I loved all the times we shared and valued her wonderful sense of humor. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Tracee…She thought the world of you and your family. Thank You. The Lotrich
I was fortunate to have Mrs. Lotrich for both kindergarten and 2nd grade(thank you Glen;). I have many fond memories but certainly her laugh and smile were unforgettable! Always in the stands for all Football, Basketball, and Baseball games, concerts, and drama productions. My condolences to Glen, Alf, and your families.
Kyle Fedde….Amazing to hear and say that name..Thank you for the comment. .Found many a picture of you going through her photos. My favorite of you next to Mrs. Mercer and the caption “tall vs. short”…haha. Sure do miss you and think of the clan often. Glen, Alf, & Families.
Great lady who taught our children with passion and love! She was a special friend who cooked for me often and had a great smile! Fantastic person and educator. I’m proud to call her my friend.
TY Fruh! I didn’t realize how many pics and times you and my parents were around each other going through photo albums…We appreciate you being a great part of their lives. Glen, Alf, & Family
