Barb was born March 20, 1931, in Fowler, Colo., and was a lifelong resident graduating from Fowler High School in 1949. She married the love of her life, Don, in 1950. She owned and operated Dunsmoor Beauty Mart as a beautician in the community for over 40 years. Barb and Don enjoyed traveling around the country in their motor home. They loved playing golf and both were involved in helping build the Cottonwood Links Golf Course in Fowler.  She was very active in Trinity Lutheran Church in Fowler serving in several positions in the 60+ years that she was a member.   She and Don loved watching their sons and grandchildren play sports and traveled many miles to cheer them on.  They were such strong supporters of high school athletics in Fowler that they were given a “Greatest Fans” award from the high school. Also in recognition of her service to the community, Barb received the “Eta Tau Woman of the Year” Award. She also loved cheering on the Broncos.

Barb served on the Cottonwood Links and Senior Center Boards and worked with Lutheran Brotherhood to secure financial support for a number of projects in the Fowler area.

Our heartfelt thanks for the care and support Barb received from the staff of both Primrose Retirement Community and Life Care Center in Pueblo.
