Arthur “Art” Joseph Armendariz, 73, passed away Jan. 30, 2024. Survived by daughter, Alicia Armendariz; sisters, Marylou Martinez (Armendariz) and Loretta Harrington (Armendariz); brothers, John David Armendariz, Sami Armendariz and Daniel Armendariz; seven nieces and nephews, and nine grand-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Salvador and Katherine Armendariz; brother, Robert “Bob” Armendariz; and sister, Theresa Marquez. He graduated from East High School in Pueblo, Colo., where he was an all-star baseball pitcher. He worked for Safeway for 40 years. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling abroad to China and Italy. He was an avid golfer, die hard CU Buffalos fan. Arthur will be cremated at Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. No services are to be held in the immediate future.   2. Remembering Art from St. Leanders, Risley and East. Got word that he had past. Very sad. I know he is playing in the beautiful colors and sites of the next stage of life.
