Alice Marie (Buchanan) Holm, 87, of Pueblo, passed away Sept. 7, 2009, in Pueblo, She was born March 21, 1922, in Pueblo. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Kenneth; brother, William Buchanan; parents; and other relatives. Survived by her children, Patricia (Larry) Russell of Buena Vista, Dora Huddleston of Colorado City, Kenneth (Barbara) Holm of Canon City, William Holm of San Carlos, Mexico and David (Sandi) Holm of Salida; sister-in-law, Helen Buchanan of Henderson, Nev.; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Alice enjoyed raising her children on a farm in Kansas before moving back to Pueblo. She served as Director at Pueblo Day Care Nursery for 25 years and took great joy in all children. Her favorite hobbies included playing with her grandchildren, fishing and camping. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Alice shared in the hope of future life in an earthly paradise. She will be missed by her family, friends and day-care family, and will be remembered for her loving heart, sense of humor and contagious laugh. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel.   1. Dearest Grandma, Thank you so much for waiting for Larry Lee and Landon to arrive before you passed. Larry got a 5 point bull this morning and I am sure he would say “This one’s for Ma Holm!” I believe your sevices started shortly after his successful hunt. I know that is where you would want him to be. We miss you and have been humbled by the graceful and loving way you led your life. Love, Larry Lee, Zee, Landon and Tanner

  3. We are all so very sorry to hear of the news of Dave’s mother passing. She had to be one swell lady to have raised Dave and his siblings. We want you to know we are giving a memorial to the Hospice in her name in the amount of $100.00. Gods Peace to you all.
