Guestbook

  1. I had been thinking a lot about Gus these past few weeks, trying to get in touch with him with no luck. I just now found his obituary by way of a search engine…what a shock. I wish I could have known that he was not well.

Gus was one of those rare people that we are lucky enough to meet. He was so full of life and always seemed to be happy. He certainly was one who always had a positive view about life. It was as if he knew the course in life that he should take…as if it were already predetermined.

He was artistically inclined, but also a deeply spiritual person. A pure heart and soul, almost childlike…innocent. I pray God will bless his soul on the day he was born, on the day he died, and on the day when his soul will rise up again, Ameen.

Mashallah ya Agus, you will be missed.

  2. Mudah-mudahan diterima disisi-Nya. Dulu ada yang pergi ke US tanpa pamit, kali ini kamu benar-benar pergi nun jauh disana. Mudah-mudahan amal dan pahalamu di terima di sisi-Nya. Amin.

  3. Dear Ed, Glena and I were so sorry to learn of Gus’ passing and your loss. You are in our hearts and prayers. I wish we had had the chance to know him. Holding you in the light.

  14. Ed,
Words cannot express our grief at the passing of Gus. We were so glad that you both were able to spend a Michigan summer with us this past June. My favorite memory of Gus during that visit was of him watching the birds in the backyard on the backporch and marveling at their color and flight.
I’ve noticed in the comments that the words “gentle and bright” keep on surfacing as regards Gus’s nature. It was and is so true. You both were blessed inhaving been given the gift of sharing each other’s lives. Your friendship with Gus will reveberate in eternity and the ripple effect of that friendship will forever color and nurture our hearts till the end of time.
    Blessings,
    John and Robert

My heartfelt condolences. I met Gus this past summer with you at the donut shop and was immediately taken by his radiant personality.

  18. Dear Ed and Family,
My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you. Gus’ last days and hours were surrounded by support, encouragement and most of all unconditional love.
