William M. 'Bill' Rizley Jr., born November 12, 1936, in Quemado, Texas, went to be with his Lord November 26, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by sons, Kenneth Allen and Monty Wayne Rizley; parents, Maude A. and William M. Rizley Sr. Survived by his wife, Judith (Houser) Rizley; sister, Ava Christine (Rizley) Hagen; children, Laroy Van, Melody Annette (Randall Coomer), Melinda Carolyn Rizley; grandchildren, Evan William and Toree Jennifer Long. Bill served in the Air Force where he did a tour in France with his sister, Ava. He began working for the CDOT circa 1961 and in 1999 retired as Resident Engineer in Pueblo. After retirement, he kept himself busy working at Wal-Mart and as a school crossing guard at Fountain Elementary (he thoroughly enjoyed bringing treats for those kids.) He was actively involved with the Gideons and enjoyed square dancing locally and nationally. Service, 11 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2016, New Heights Baptist Church 3304 Baltimore Avenue.   1. Prayers for Bill and for your family. We just saw it in the paper so we can’t make it to the services on time. John is so saddened to hear about his Boss and friend. He will always remember Bill as a champion of the underdog.
